Here are some community responses so far to the Hindu Colonial Trauma presentation I launched in August 2021.

These responses are from both Black/brown and white community members:

"I didn't know how much I didn't know."

"I didn’t know there were so many intersections."

"This should be a college course."

"I never had access to this learning before because of my marginalizations. Thank you so much for teaching us."

"This is the missing link."

"It's mindblowing."

"Everyone needs to hear this."

"I’m here watching it for the second time now."

"I am grateful for your work creating a point of entry and resources to learn more."

"In learning all of this it continues to remind me the repeating of history. Lately I have been thinking about the hostility of learning critical race theory. Parents are afraid that if they learn about history the kids might feel bad about themselves."

"It's so much. We can't be surprised really but it's still an immense genocide that I was not aware of."

These are responses from Hindu community members:

"A huge amount of information woven in so well and clearly."

"No one is doing what Zarna is doing."

"This should be required learning."

"It’s so sad that we’re still suffering today."

"I would like to know how I can donate on behalf of my parents and share the videos with them. I have cried so much. Before my parents leave this earth, I want them to heal a bit by knowing the truth."

Watch my Hindu Colonial Trauma presentation. You really won’t know what you don’t know until you do.
